Marvel"s Captain America: Brave New World reaches another milestone as it leaves behind another three MCU solo movies at the domestic box office, but it still may not be enough for Sam Wilson"s Phase 5 movie to be considered a success. Captain America: Brave New World opened Marvel Studios" 2025 live-action slate with a few key MCU events, including the announcement of adamantium and President Ross" public transformation into Red Hulk. Despite its spectacular premise, however, Captain America: Brave New World has struggled to make significant progress at the box office, though it slowly crosses new landmarks one month after its theatrical release.
As of March 17, 2025, Captain America: Brave New World has earned $185,396,912 domestically (via Box Office Mojo), officially surpassing Ant-Man"s $180.2 million, Thor"s $181 million, and Black Widow"s $183.6 million. Internationally, Captain America: Brave New World"s $203.2 million is still a long way from Thor"s $268.2 million and Ant-Man"s $339.1 million, however. Captain America: Brave New World"s worldwide box office gross places it in the bottom fifth spot in the MCU"s rankings.
