Colin Farrell is reportedly in talks to star in
Sgt. Rock, replacing Daniel Craig after the latter dropped out of the DCU movie. Daniel Craig was initially going to play the titular hero in Luca Guadagnino"s Sgt. Rock movie, but the Queer star exited the project only a couple of months after joining it. Since then, speculation about who could replace Craig put foward many relevant movie and TV stars, including The Bear"s Jeremy Allen White. Now, DC Comics" Franklin John Rock may have found its live-action actor.
As reported by Deadline, The Penguin"s Colin Farrell is interested in playing Franklin John Rock in DC Studios" Sgt. Rock. Farrell recently won the Golden Globe for his performance as Oz Cobb in DC"s The Penguin miniseries. Farrell will reprise his Penguin role in Matt Reeves" The Batman - Part II, and there"s a chance The Penguin season 2 could materialize due to the first season"s massive success.
