Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for The PenguinThe Batman - Part II has the perfect excuse to bring back two major DC characters. Thanks to one key scene in The Penguin"s finale, there"s a very easy way to bring back Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz) despite the ending of The Batman from director Matt Reeves. Likewise, the movie can also introduce a key new threat to Robert Pattinson"s Batman with the introduction of Sofia Falcone/Gigante (Cristin Milioti) to the big screen.
As seen at the end of 2022"s The Batman, Selina Kyle"s Catwoman chooses to leave Gotham behind. As such, the movie ends with Catwoman heading for the nearby sister city of Blüdhaven while Pattinson"s Dark Knight returns to Gotham City. That said, The Penguin has created the perfect means to bring not only Catwoman back to Gotham, but also Sofia Gigante who made herself a key rival of Oz Cobb in the recent DC show.
The Penguin's Ending Set Up The Perfect Justification For Catwoman's Return In The Batman 2 Connecting With Her Half-Sister, Sofia Falcone/Gigante Close Rather than killing the woman who had been running Gotham"s biggest crime family and had been calling for his head, Oz surprisingly leaves Sofia Gigante for the GCPD in The Penguin"s finale. This is because Oz worked out a deal with Gotham"s Councilman Hady to publicly pin the majority of his recent crimes on the former Falcone while also sending her back to Arkahm State Hospital where she had just spent 10 years wrongfully committed after being blamed for her father"s crimes who had murdered and hung multiple women. However, Sofia is given a letter by Doctor Rush back in her cell in the final scenes of The Penguin episode 8.
