Benedict Cumberbatch has shared interesting comments about Doctor Strange"s role in Avengers: Doomsday. With filming set to begin in a few months, Avengers: Doomsday"s cast has been receiving new confirmations since the end of 2024. The Marvel Cinematic Universe will see the return of stars like Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Hayley Atwell for what could be the best Avengers movie so far. However, Cumberbatch said in a recent interview that Doctor Strange would not be in the film, changing his original comments about being excited about starting production. Now, Cumberbatch has changed his answer again.
Speaking with Business Insider, Benedict Cumberbatch seemingly confirmed that Doctor Strange will be in Avengers: Doomsday after all. Previously, the actor said that his Marvel character would only appear in Avengers: Secret Wars, where he would have a central role. According to the actor, Doctor Strange did not make sense for the story of the next Avengers film. However, he might have misspoken.
